Hauts-de-Seine, Île-de-France, France

Sighting on July 16, 1976 in Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

At about 4:30 in the morning, a witness at the window of their home saw a luminous phenomenon go by. They could not make out any clear shape and heard no particular noise. At first it looked like a single point of light coming closer. It then turned into a row of lights. Finally, seen from behind as it moved away, it appeared as two points of light, one green and one red.

No other witness account was collected about this event. GEIPAN concluded that it was probably an aircraft passing by. The case is classified C because the available data were insufficient.
