What happened

Between 5:57 and 6:45 a.m., several people noticed strong red-orange glows that lit up the whole surrounding area for a few seconds. Separately, a motorist saw two luminous balls, one orange and one blue, about 500 metres ahead of the vehicle.

GEIPAN classified the case as C, meaning the data were insufficient: the available information was too limited to say more about the nature of the phenomenon. The investigation concluded only that red-orange glows had been observed.
