What happened

Around 7 p.m., witnesses sitting in a restaurant saw a luminous object moving across the sky for about fifteen minutes. It traced geometric figures, then vanished as it spiralled downward. No aircraft movements had been reported that day, and no balloon or sounding rocket had been launched.
