Sighting reported to the Italian Air Force on August 26, 1980 at around 20:00, in Lago di albano (RM), by an aircraft crew. Aeronautica Militare conclusion: after review of the records, the event was catalogued as a UFO (unidentified flying object).

What happened

The report came from the crew of flight IH 772. The shape is not known; the object was white with a green trail, and moved at a very high speed from south-east to north-west, at an altitude of about 7000 mt. The sky was cloudy.
