Yvelines, Île-de-France, France

What happened

One evening in January, at about 8:50 p.m., a witness noticed a very intense light. It came from an object that the witness could not actually make out: only the light was visible. The sighting was short and no sound was heard. The light then vanished along a descending path, behind the houses, in the direction of the state-owned forest.

The investigation found no physical trace, and no other witness came forward to add to this account. GEIPAN classified the case as C, meaning the data are insufficient to reach a conclusion. It is the observation of an object giving off a strong light, and nothing more can be said about it.
