What happened

Over several days starting on 8 March 1985, the witness noticed a light from the window of their apartment on the 14th floor. It looked like a star and moved slowly.

On 18 March, the witness was filming the light when it suddenly seemed to head straight toward them. Frightened, they took refuge with neighbors.

The GEIPAN investigation concluded that the witness had most likely seen the planet Jupiter, which was especially easy to see at that time of year. The case was classified B: probable observation of an astronomical phenomenon.
