Sighting in Paris, September 30, 1978

Île-de-France, France

Sighting on September 30, 1978, exact location not given (département: Paris, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

At around 11:30 pm, two people out for a walk saw a craft fly past at very low altitude, which puzzled them. The object was round, with a shiny housing and red and yellow lights. It rotated above a railway bridge, and the witnesses heard no noise while it did so.

No other testimony was collected to back up the sighting. Because the available information was too limited, the GEIPAN classified the case as C (insufficient data): the observation of a round, bright craft in the sky.
