What happened

Between 6:15 and 8:30 in the morning, a witness at home noticed a point of light that caught their attention. It moved slowly from east to west along a rising path. The witness took several photographs.

The descriptions given, compared with the sky chart for that day, showed that the witness had made an astronomical observation of Venus, which was particularly visible at that time of year (magnitude -4.41). GEIPAN classified the case as A: the sighting was most likely Venus.
