Sighting in Villotran, September 4, 2013

Oise, Hauts-de-France, France

Sighting on September 4, 2013 in Villotran (Oise, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

Around 11:45 pm, two witnesses who were looking at the sky noticed round, luminous phenomena in a variety of colors, which they could not explain. The number of phenomena seen over the evening differs depending on the account, from about 2 to 30. The observation lasted close to an hour.

GEIPAN received only one testimony, collected by phone in February 2014. The account is complex and lacks precision, partly because the observation sequence was so long. The witness said the other person would also send in a report, but GEIPAN had still not received it as of November 2014.

The case is classified C: there is not enough information to reach a conclusion, and the file remains open pending further testimony.
