What happened

Around 3 July 1993, the owner of a wheat field noticed unusual marks in the crop. The wheat had been flattened to form large circles joined by straight lines.

During the investigation, the GEIPAN heard from a landscape architect. They said they made this kind of design themselves, and explained the procedure and the method they used. They were not the author of the circles in this field, but the technique they described was the same.

The GEIPAN classified the case as B (probably identified): the marks were crop circles.
