What happened

At around 11:20 p.m., a witness noticed two enormous glowing balls to the east of their house. They hung about 50 metres above the ground, motionless, and lit up the ground below very brightly. The GEIPAN describes the balls as orange and giving off light.

About a minute later, before the phenomenon had completely vanished, the witness heard a noise like helicopter blades. They also saw a very intense yellow light illuminate the area.

No other witness account was gathered about this observation. Because information was lacking, the GEIPAN classified the case as C (insufficient data).
