Sighting in Le Havre, November 25, 1989

Seine-Maritime, Normandie, France

Sighting on November 25, 1989 in Le Havre (Seine-Maritime, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

On the evening of 25 November 1989, at about 10:10 pm, a witness saw three points of light arranged in a triangle. They were in such an agitated state that the gendarmes could not question them at the time.

The witness was finally interviewed on 14 December. To make their statement, they relied on a press article and then described five orange discs, which did not match their first account.

These contradictory details made any analysis impossible. GEIPAN classified the case as C, meaning insufficient data: it could not be determined whether the sighting involved three points of light in a triangle or five orange discs.
