Sighting reported to the Italian Air Force on September 7, 1997 at around 00:30, in Massa marittima (GR), by members of the public. Aeronautica Militare conclusion: after review of the records, the event was catalogued as a UFO (unidentified flying object).

What happened

The object was triangular, with luminosity, dark in colour, in places green and violet. Its speed was varied and its motion horizontal, under a clear sky. The altitude was not indicated. The report came from a private citizen.
