What happened

At around 4 p.m., several witnesses saw an object fall. Its fall caused an impact on the ground, which the witnesses felt and which the Institut de Physique du Globe in Strasbourg recorded. At the time, air maneuvers were taking place in the area, with several helicopters present.

GEIPAN classified the case as B (probably identified). According to the investigation, the event could be explained either by the fall of a meteorite or by a ground impact linked to the air maneuvers.
