What happened
A patrol of four Mirage aircraft was in flight when one of the pilots told the leader that an aircraft was "following" them, in the 5 o'clock direction. The leader then spotted the point visually as well, and it vanished after fifteen to twenty seconds.
The leader concluded that a fighter-type aircraft had passed by. However, the ground controllers had picked up no trace of any such aircraft. GEIPAN classified the case as D: the event remained unexplained.
