What happened

At around 9:25 p.m., a driver and their passenger noticed a dazzling light. For two to three minutes they were able to watch an object from about 100 metres away. It was shaped like an orange segment. A light flashed on its left side, and a row of spots in different colours could be seen. The object then moved off quickly toward the south-west. The witnesses heard a distant droning sound.

One of them took photographs, but these were never handed over to the gendarmerie. No further information could be gathered about the phenomenon. GEIPAN classed the case C, meaning the available data are insufficient to reach a conclusion.
