What happened

Late in the afternoon, a witness noticed several dozen white points of light very high in the sky. They were drifting very slowly from east to west.

No other witness account was collected for this phenomenon. GEIPAN classified the case as C (insufficient data) because of the lack of information. It noted, however, that the description is reminiscent of a typical sighting of Thai lanterns.
