Sighting in Poissy, September 27, 2009

Yvelines, Île-de-France, France

Sighting on September 27, 2009 in Poissy (Yvelines, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

At around 11:05 pm, a witness watched three slightly orange points of light move across the sky for about two minutes, arranged in a triangle. One of the points then split in two, so the witness was looking at two separate phenomena. Everything vanished without a sound, heading toward the Saint-Germain-en-Laye forest.

The account was too brief for an investigation to be carried out. The witness was contacted again eighteen months after the sighting but did not want to provide any further details. GEIPAN therefore classified the case as category C, meaning there was not enough information.
