What happened

At around 11 p.m., several witnesses saw objects with lights of different colours pass over the houses. The paths they described differed depending on where each witness was standing. The witnesses spoke of shapes resembling flying saucers.

The investigation concluded that they had most likely seen Mirage 2000 aircraft, which were carrying out manoeuvres in the area until 2 a.m. GEIPAN therefore classified the case as B, probable observation of aerial manoeuvres.
