What happened

At around 11 p.m., several witnesses saw a red light moving quickly across the sky from west to east. It was a circle about 4 metres in diameter, crossed by two diagonal lines that were also red. It flickered and made a loud noise. The object then turned white and disappeared behind the hills.

No other testimony was collected about this phenomenon. GEIPAN classified the case as C, because the information available is insufficient to propose an explanation.
