What happened

At around 9:30 p.m., a witness was on their terrace when a rounded object crossed the sky at high speed. It was green and blue, and it left a very long, sparkling white trail behind it.

The sighting lasted about four seconds. Throughout that time the trajectory stayed steady and straight, and the object then disappeared at the horizon. No further information could be gathered about the phenomenon.

GEIPAN classified the case as B (probably identified): the phenomenon has the characteristics of an atmospheric re-entry. It was the observation of an object moving at very high speed.
