Sighting on July 28, 2010 in Camboulit (Lot, France). According to GEIPAN, it was most probably a sky lantern (class B).

What happened

At around 10:15 pm, several people saw luminous objects go by, shaped like hot-air balloons. No sound was heard during the five minutes the sighting lasted. Only one of the witnesses reported what they had seen.

The gendarmerie carried out inquiries and concluded that the witnesses had probably seen Thai lanterns. The GEIPAN classified the case as B: probably identified.
