What happened

At about 5:50 p.m., a witness looked up and was amazed by what they saw in the sky: a circular luminous shape, emerald green, surrounded by a copper-red halo, which passed overhead. It followed a straight path from west to east, and no sound was heard.

The object moved away very quickly, first hidden by the landscape and then lost from view at the horizon. No other account of the phenomenon was gathered.

GEIPAN classified the case as C, meaning the available data were insufficient to reach a conclusion. The investigation retained only a brief observation of an emerald-green object streaking across the sky.
