What happened

In the early morning, several witnesses in different départements saw a luminous phenomenon move quickly across the sky. According to their accounts, the object left a colored trail behind it and followed a downward path.

Searches were carried out at the places where the object was thought to have come down, but no trace was found on the ground. The GEIPAN classified the case as B: the witnesses most likely saw an atmospheric re-entry.
