What happened

Shortly after midnight, a motorist noticed an object on their right that was shaped like a spinning top. It hovered two or three metres above the ground and gave off weak red and green lights. The object moved in a zigzag pattern, then climbed in spirals to a very great height and disappeared.

The GEIPAN investigation could not gather any further information about the phenomenon. Because the data were insufficient, the case was classified C.
