Sighting in La Garnache, March 4, 2000

Vendée, Pays de la Loire, France

Sighting on March 4, 2000 in La Garnache (Vendée, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

At about 11:15 p.m., a couple standing near their house saw a round, yellowish-white shape go past at roughly 15 to 20 metres above the ground. Ten minutes later it happened again: a similar shape passed a second time. At the end of its path, a faint noise was heard and a green light appeared. No sound was otherwise detected while the object went by.

What they described could bring to mind a rotating lighthouse beam, but the information available does not allow a serious analysis. GEIPAN classified the case as C, meaning there was insufficient data.
