What happened

Around 11 p.m., a gendarme returning from duty and their spouse noticed a large orange glow above the buildings of the gendarmerie station. It looked about four times bigger than a star. Then, all of a sudden, the phenomenon shot away at high speed until the two witnesses lost sight of it.
