What happened

At around 6:30 pm, seven children playing in the street saw an orange, oval-shaped craft go past. Red and white lights flashed in turn at its base. It came from the south, then followed a curve to head west, at about the same height as light aircraft. The children disagreed with one another about the noise it made as it passed. No other witness was found.

The GEIPAN classified the case as B: it was probably the sighting of an aircraft.
