What happened

At around 9:30 p.m., several witnesses saw a luminous phenomenon in the sky for about three seconds. It was a very bright yellow ball moving at high speed from the south-west toward the north-east. The witnesses noted that its path was not a straight line and that it made no sound. The light then vanished abruptly.

Based on this description, the GEIPAN concluded that the witnesses had most likely seen an atmospheric re-entry. The case was classified B, probably identified.
