Sighting in Revin, July 15, 1976

Ardennes, Grand Est, France

Sighting on July 15, 1976 in Revin (Ardennes, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

Around midnight, several people watched a luminous phenomenon moving about above "Malgré Tout" hill, where a television relay is installed. The light showed several colors and changed position quickly. No sound was heard during the 20 minutes the observation lasted. Some of the witnesses also looked at it through binoculars.

The gendarmerie carried out an investigation. Even so, the information and detail gathered about the phenomenon remained insufficient. GEIPAN concluded that the witnesses had seen a luminous phenomenon moving directly above the television relay, and classified the case C, meaning the data were not sufficient to go any further.
