What happened

Several witnesses, including gendarmes, noticed an unusual light in the sky to the west, first seen at 6:40 a.m. It seemed to move like a pendulum, swinging from side to side while also rising.

The light then dimmed gradually and disappeared at around 9:30 a.m.
