What happened

On a morning in late November, between 7:15 and 8:15, a witness watched a yellow ball that stayed motionless in the sky for almost an hour. The object looked as if it were burning up. After about an hour, the ball moved away quickly and left a black trail behind it.

The investigation could not identify the ball as a civil or military aircraft, or as a balloon. GEIPAN therefore classified the case as D: the phenomenon remains unexplained.
