Sighting in Saint-Jean-d'Angély, February 15, 1975

Charente-Maritime, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France

Sighting on February 15, 1975 in Saint-Jean-d'Angély (Charente-Maritime, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

In September 1975, two witnesses reported something they had seen on 15 February of that year, at around 6 p.m. They described a bright, circular craft, about one metre across, moving silently and fairly low in the sky. It travelled from east to west and eventually vanished behind some trees.

No other witness came forward, and no further details could be obtained about the phenomenon. Because of this lack of information, GEIPAN classified the case as C (insufficient data). Its conclusion records the silent movement of a bright, circular object above the trees.
