What happened

At around 8:30 p.m., witnesses noticed an unusual light phenomenon. A red ball, very high in the sky, seemed to drop slowly as if it were coming in to land. Then a very bright light burst out of a triangle and lit up the whole area. The witnesses then saw white smoke near the ground.

The sequence happened four times in a row, with roughly ten minutes between each occurrence.

The investigation concluded that the witnesses had most likely seen flares, fired on the evening the results of the second round of the presidential election were announced. The case was classified A (identified).
