What happened

The gendarmes were alerted at 2:05 a.m. that unusual luminous phenomena could be seen in the sky. Witnesses described two beams of light moving about between 1:05 and 2:05. The beams crossed the sky while spinning on themselves, lighting up the space around them. The light appeared at intervals, every 15 to 20 seconds.

The gendarmes went to the scene at 2:30 a.m. and saw no phenomenon. GEIPAN classified the case as C, meaning insufficient data: these were observations of a luminous phenomenon, and nothing more can be said about it.
