What happened

Two witnesses travelling in their vehicle noticed a luminous object in the sky at around 6:30 pm. It was moving slowly from south to north, and they watched it for seven to eight minutes. The object was long and large, and mainly red. The witnesses heard no particular noise.

No other witness account was collected for this phenomenon. GEIPAN classified the case as C, meaning the data are insufficient: there is too little information available to offer an explanation. Its conclusion describes the observation of a fire-red, cigar-shaped object.
