Sighting in Viefvillers, July 1994

Oise, Hauts-de-France, France

Sighting in July 1994 in Viefvillers (Oise, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

The witness said they were a child at the time of the first sighting, in the summer of 1994. They could not recall the exact month or day, so the date in the file was set arbitrarily. They saw an orange-red luminous ball, about the size of a marble, moving very close to them without making any sound. The experience made a strong impression on them, and it still does.

In 2006 the same witness twice saw luminous balls moving stealthily, this time from farther away.

The gendarmerie found no other accounts of similar sightings in the area. An IPN investigation was carried out with the witness, but the account was given long after the events it describes and lacks detail. With insufficient data, GEIPAN classified the case as C.
