What happened

At around 10:20 p.m., a motorist noticed a whitish point of light in a clear sky. It was visible for about one second. It moved in a straight line from west to east, at an elevation of between 30° and 60° above the horizon, and then vanished instantly. No particular sound was heard during the sighting.

No further information was gathered about the phenomenon. Because the data were insufficient, GEIPAN classified the case as C (insufficient data) and recorded it only as the observation of a point of light moving in a straight line.
