Sighting in Toulouse, June 22, 2016
Haute-Garonne, Occitanie, France
Sighting on June 22, 2016 in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).
What happened
At around 11:15 pm, a witness was intrigued by a persistent noise coming from the garden. They looked up at the sky and saw a red point of light pass by. It did not blink and moved across the sky quickly. The witness filmed the object.
Very little information was available on the case. The questionnaire was only partly filled in, and the video the witness mentioned was never provided, even though GEIPAN followed up several times. Given so few details, the observation does not appear strange and could have several explanations, including the release of a Thai lantern. As it stands, however, no conclusion can be drawn. GEIPAN therefore classed the case as C, insufficient data.
