What happened

At around 7:30 p.m., a witness noticed a very bright white ball in the sky, moving downward at very high speed. Just before reaching the ground, it turned into a small red dot and then vanished. A second witness, an off-duty soldier, also saw the phenomenon and thought it looked like a flare.

GEIPAN classified the case as B (probably identified): the witnesses most likely saw an atmospheric re-entry.
