What happened

Several people noticed a bright object in the sky at around 10:50 p.m. It stayed motionless and remained in view for several minutes. The witnesses described it as spherical and orange, with a brightness that varied irregularly. It then moved away without making any sound, following a path from the south toward the north-west, and eventually disappeared.

Following its investigation, GEIPAN classified the case as B (probably identified): the witnesses most likely saw a satellite passing overhead.
