Sighting in Bouzonville, October 24, 1976

Moselle, Grand Est, France

Sighting on October 24, 1976 in Bouzonville (Moselle, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

On several evenings between 20 and 26 October 1976, a number of people in the same geographic area saw multicolored lights. The lights seemed to come from a craft that nobody could identify. The craft sometimes stayed in place and sometimes moved, and it gave off a dull noise. The witnesses were frightened by the lights and by the craft.

GEIPAN classified the case as C because there was not enough information. It nonetheless concluded that the successive sightings of lights came from an aircraft.
