Sighting in Cazals, July 28, 1986
Tarn-et-Garonne, Occitanie, France
Sighting on July 28, 1986 in Cazals (Tarn-et-Garonne, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).
What happened
At around 10 p.m., two people driving toward Cazals saw three balls or discs in a clear sky. They were bright, vivid yellow, hung motionless and made no sound. The sighting lasted about ten seconds. The witnesses decided to turn back, but by then there was nothing more to be seen in the sky.
Only one of the two gave an account, and it was brief. The case dates from 1986 but was not reported to GEIPAN until 2012. No simple explanation was found. Investigating a case like this more than 25 years after the event is hardly feasible. GEIPAN is therefore unable to reach a conclusion and has classified the case C, for lack of sufficient information.
