What happened

A couple was driving at around 7 p.m. when the two witnesses noticed a very brief phenomenon lasting only two to three seconds. It looked like a luminous ball with a trail stretching out behind it, along with glowing points.

The investigation gathered little information. GEIPAN nevertheless considered it likely that the couple had seen an atmospheric re-entry, which led to the case being classified B (probably identified).
