Sighting in Concarneau, 1974

Finistère, Bretagne, France

Sighting in 1974 in Concarneau (Finistère, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

The account was collected on 14 May 2008 and concerns an old sighting, dated to May or June of 1974 or 1975. From their apartment on the 5th floor, the witness saw three stationary points of light in the sky, at an estimated altitude of 200 to 300 metres.

After several minutes, the lights moved closer to the coast without making any noise, then drew away toward the south.

No other witness came forward and no further details were gathered about the phenomenon. Because the available data were insufficient, the GEIPAN classified the case as C.
