Sighting in Dieppe, November 1989

Seine-Maritime, Normandie, France

Sighting in November 1989 in Dieppe (Seine-Maritime, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

In December 2009, the witness reported an observation dating back to late 1989, around November or December. It lasted less than five seconds. The witness saw a triangular object with rounded edges, grey-black in colour. They had time to make out three flashing lights on each side. The object then vanished very quickly.

No other witness account of this phenomenon was collected. GEIPAN classified the case as C (insufficient data): the sighting was brief, very old and reported by a single witness, and the lack of information makes any investigation difficult, if not impossible.
