Sighting in La Bouilladisse, February 10, 2015

Bouches-du-Rhône, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France

Sighting on February 10, 2015 in La Bouilladisse (Bouches-du-Rhône, France). According to GEIPAN, it was most probably an aircraft (plane, helicopter…) (class B).

What happened

Around 6 p.m., a driver noticed a white, streaky-looking trail in the sky that descended in a spiral. They also saw another object to the right of the trail. The witness described the trail as a "chemtrail".

The GEIPAN asked military air traffic control for information on air traffic in the area at that time. A military aircraft had been flying in exactly that area between 6:00 and 6:05 p.m. However, it was not possible to check whether the spiral contrails the witness described matched the aircraft's flight path exactly.

The GEIPAN classified the case as B: the observation was probably of contrails from a military aircraft performing manoeuvres.
