What happened

At about 1:30 in the morning, a couple on their way home from work noticed a point in the sky that was brighter than the stars. It came closer at high speed. The two witnesses then made out a large, luminous, rather round mass, which passed right over the housing estate and vanished toward the south. As it went by, they heard a noise like a movement of air.

The whole observation lasted about five minutes. The investigation found no explanation for the phenomenon, and GEIPAN classified the case as D (unexplained).
