What happened

At about 8:50 a.m., a witness walking along a street noticed an oval object in the sunny sky, beige and grey in color, spinning on its axis. It stayed in the same spot and no particular noise was heard. The witness watched it for 6 minutes.

Another person also saw the object, but only one account was collected.

The investigation found that this description clearly matched a tethered helium balloon, most likely a novelty or advertising balloon. GEIPAN classified the case as B: probable observation of a tethered novelty balloon.
