What happened

At around 6:30 p.m., a witness noticed a white trail in a clear sky, about 30° above the horizon toward the south-southeast. After a few seconds, they lost sight of the trail, but they could still see smoke, which gradually dispersed.

The local press reported similar sightings on the same day. GEIPAN classified the case as B: the witness most likely saw an atmospheric re-entry.
